Barista / Café Assistant - Weekend / Summer Team Members

We have a fantastic opportunity to work in our thriving farm shop & Cafe that boasts its own biodynamic / organic farm. We are looking to recruit Weekend/Summer Team Members-this role is for flexible hours on a zero hours contract. We are on the lookout for self-motivated individuals with a passion for great food! Gullivers Farm Shop & Kitchen is a busy working environment so you must be able to work well under pressure, whilst maintaining the high standard of customer service we expect.

Job Purpose: Deliver excellent service and availability to customers, through contact, replenishment and housekeeping activities. Food preparation and food hygiene is a requirement as operating a busy farm shop & café. barista responsibilities of providing customers with drink menus and answering their questions regarding ingredients. Taking orders while paying attention to details (e.g preferences of coffee blend, dairy and sugar ratios)

Responsibilities include:

Customer Service

· Use effective customer care skills to ensure the well-being of customers at all times.

· Ensure and maintain good customer relations.

· Ensure high levels of safety and hygiene are maintained throughout the Coffee shop.

· Report any issues that could affect the smooth running of the farm shop / café to the line manager.

Food and Beverage Preparation

· Prepare food and beverages in line with Food Hygiene; Health and Safety Standards.

· Food and Beverage preparation to be high quality so as to meet customer requirements.

· Prepare and serve hot and cold drinks to specified recipe standards.

· Prepare and serve pastries, sandwiches and other snack foods as requested to recipe standards.

· All equipment should be cleaned in preparation for next use.

• Barista experience: 1 year (Preferred)
