Full Job Description

You will work be partof an integrated multi-professional team providing individualised rehabilitation to people with persistent symptoms. You will work closely with colleagues including Practitioner Psychologists, Physiotherapists, Occupational Therapists and Exercise Professionalsto deliver a co-produced psychological care pathway in a needs-led way; with a specific focus on meeting the psychological needs of people who are coping energy limiting conditions. This will involve direct clinical work, group work, consultation, supervision, teaching, and training as well as developing resources and supporting staff in the wider Health Board.

Within the wider Physical Health Speciality there are services in Respiratory, Chronic Pain, Long Covid, Weight Management, Neuro-Rehabilitation, Critical Care, Hepatology and Continuing Care. There will be opportunities to work with colleagues in the wider service who offer a warm, supportive atmosphere, regular peer support and supervision.

We would also invite applications from newly qualified clinicians as there is a potential for this role to be a development post with the appropriate supervision and processes in place.

We are seeking a Clinical Psychologist Principle who is passionate about promoting the emotional health and wellbeing of adults who are coping with the impact of persistent symptoms caused by energy limiting conditions including Long Covid, ME/CFS and Fibromyalgia.
