The Opportunity:

We're seeking a passionate and results driven Creative Director to lead the growth of our in-house creative services for brand partnerships. The Creative Director will be responsible for overseeing the creative vision and strategic ideation for Flight Studio's proactive and reactive pitches, leveraging our creator-led channel mix across video, podcast, social, speaking engagements and live events.

As our founding creative hire, you'll have the opportunity to build and scale your function from the ground up, championing best practice briefing, creative innovation, pitch development and flawless execution. Working closely with Sales, Marketing & Brand and the dedicated Content Producer (Brand Partnerships), you'll be applying your competitive spirit and deep love of storytelling to help us win content partnership budgets from media agencies and clients directly, exceeding our commercial targets and adding more resources to the creative function as we scale.

  • Lead the ideation and development of all brand partnership briefs (proactive and reactive) across the Flight Studio ecosystem


  • Pitch & Collateral Building:
  • Hands on build of all creative proposals in Google Slides, Keynote and/or Canva

  • As a member of our founding team, you will be expected to have a hands-on approach to building the collateral and processes that will enable our collective success (creds decks, one pagers, market updates and case studies)


  • Creative Process:
  • Own and lead the end to end creative process, seeking to upskill the broader team through proactive education on creative best practices across brief uncovery, pitch frameworks and asset quality


  • Creative Execution:
  • Work closely with the Content Producer to ensure flawless delivery of all creative campaigns including storyboarding, creative direction (at recordings, shoot days with talent) and asset review/quality control


  • Metrics and Performance:
  • You must have a passion for producing work that delivers real results, identifying key metrics to measure the success of creative campaigns and analysing performance data to refine and improve future creative direction


  • Budget Management:
  • Manage the creative department's budget, ensuring efficient allocation of resources

  • Evaluate and negotiate with external vendors and contractors where required


  • Cross-Functional Collaboration:
  • Work closely with Sales, Marketing & Brand, Experimentation, Production and Talent to align all partnership responses to overall business goals


  • Thought Leadership:
  • Analyse industry trends and competitive landscape to identify new opportunities, keeping us at the forefront of the media and advertising industry

    Strong experience in a creative role (ideally with creator-led campaign ideation)

  • Strong understanding of multi-platform storytelling and strategic ideation

  • Ability to build and present highly compelling presentations and materials from scratch

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to influence and inspire talent, audiences and clients

  • Copy writing for creative treatments, storyboarding and scripting

  • Proven track record of successfully securing major brand partnerships and driving revenue growth from your creative excellence

  • A curious mindset with an openness to conduct regular experiments to constantly improve the effectiveness of our campaign results

  • An analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data, draw insights, and make data-driven decision to optimise creative outcomes

  • Self-driven and capable of independently advancing projects in a fast-paced startup environment, embracing ambiguity

  • Passion for the creator economy and 360" cross platform partnerships

  • Comfortable attending and directing recordings and shoot days with talent

  • Experience in a rapid start up environment

  • Social native - deep knowledge of digital marketing and social media platforms

  • Experience interpreting social analytics for branded content collaborations

  • Experience with the Megaphone and YouTube platforms

  • International experience, particularly in the US market

  • Experience structuring talent fees across and content usage rights

  • Relationships with talent agents or speaking agencies
