As a Data Architect you will work at the forefront of Version 1's mission to prove that IT, can make a real impact on our customer's business. You will work with customers in a variety of industries to help shape their data strategy and the technology solutions that support them.

We're looking for a passionate, experienced data professional, with excellent consulting and communication skills to help out customers on their data journeys.

On a day to day basis you will:

  • Actively listen to information from our customers in public and private sectors and help define technical solutions to solve them

  • Create and implement data architecture design and data modelling coupled with focus on data visualisation, AI (Artificial Intelligence) and Machine Learning (ML)

  • Shape and define data strategies and understand specifications of data integration and data migration approaches

  • Work within a project management and agile delivery methodology environment

    Security Clearance eligible. You must have the right to work in the United Kingdom or Northern Ireland and have been resident in the United Kingdom or Northern Ireland for 5 or more consecutive years

  • Demonstrated experience in data architecture or similar role

  • Practical experience across a variety of platforms and languages i.e. Databricks, Snowflake, Azure, AWS, Oracle Cloud, R, Python or similar

  • Understanding of data management best practices including demonstrated experience with data profiling, sourcing, and cleansing routines utilizing typical data quality functions involving standardization, transformation, rationalization, linking and matching

  • Confident with business intelligence and analytics tools, data modelling, data staging, and data extraction processes, including data warehouse and cloud infrastructure

  • Be adept with your collaboration skills
