Full Job Description

Within 3-5 years you will be a fully integrated member of the team responsible for controls engineering on future projects and plant improvements, provide Subject Matter Expert (SME) knowledge and support to other plant business departments.We encourage development of employees through onsite mentoring and coaching with an emphasis on personal continual improvement, this would be supported by a further education qualification.

Our Team

You will join our Operations Transformation Team reporting to the Controls Engineer. During training, will be given support throughout assignments and projects to develop the necessary technical knowledge and professional experience and skills to become a controls engineer.

What You Will Do

  • Hands on technical awareness of a manufacturing facility, problem solving skills in plant breakdowns and equipment failures for controls and automation systems.

  • Project assignments various equipment. New knowledge of site equipment, commissioning protocols, leadership, and commercial experience as well as technical skills.

  • Learn and apply our companies' proven frameworks, (Principle Based Management PBM) not limited to: Risk philosophy, decision making, economic thinking, project management - front end loading (FEL) process.

  • Develop skills and competence to work alone and as part of a team autonomously, working cross functional with other business departments and contractors.

  • You will be given ownership of key focus areas within the project implementation lifecycle.

  • Identify future technologies and industry best practices (IoT, Industry 4.0)

  • Proven entrepreneurship, ownership, complete finisher, contribution motivated.

  • Focussed on creating superior long-term value, critical thinking and prioritisation, economic decision making.

  • Thirst for learning, personal development.

  • Electrical/Electronic Engineering background

  • Advanced skills in Microsoft Office 365 applications - Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, Project. Autodesk products.
