Full Job Description

Under supervision, to maintain the playing surfaces and facilities at the home of Gloucestershire County Cricket Club. The Grounds team work closely with the Cricket department of Gloucestershire County Cricket Club, to ensure the pitch is presented to the highest standards for training and matches throughout the season.,

  • Undertake routine preparation and maintenance work on a range of sports facilities used at the Seat Unique Stadium.

  • Undertake all preparatory and cultivation work to maintain safe quality playing surfaces.

  • Set up all sports pitches or amenity surfaces.

  • Undertake minor building maintenance and landscaping work.

  • Demonstrate, at all times, a commitment to equality, diversity and inclusion behaviours, decision-making and working practices, advocate the values of safety, dignity, fairness, equality and respect and contribute to the implementation of the GCCC EDI plan.

  • Drive vehicles and equipment as required for grounds maintenance operations.

  • Ensure vehicles and equipment used are regularly maintained in accordance with routine operating requirements.

  • Monitor the use of consumable items.

  • Ensure the safe use, storage, calibration and disposal of pesticides and other similar substances.

  • Ensure work area is kept clean, tidy and secure at all times.

  • Support and make recommendations to your line manager regarding improved work systems, labour, and machinery utilisation.

  • Assist in maintaining site security.

  • Be flexible and comply to reasonable requests to meet demands of business needs as reasonably requested.
