Head of Development

A key role in the Cathedral, the Head of Development will work closely with the Dean, Board of Trustees (Chapter) and other senior stakeholders to identify and access new and existing networks of wealth, opportunity and influence - to grow the portfolio of the organisation's most significant supporters.

As development lead, the role also oversees all fundraising activity as well as contributing to the development and implementation of strategy as a member of the Senior Leadership Team. Key responsibilities include:

- Leading development and delivery of an effective fundraising strategy capable of achieving stretching targets across varied income streams.

- Shaping, managing and supporting a high-performing, collaborative and motivated Development Team.

- Collaborating with the Dean and senior colleagues to grow a culture of philanthropy, cultivating donor prospects to secure six and seven figure donations.

- Continuously improving the Cathedral's internal fundraising processes and policies to maximise efficiency and effectiveness, improve donor care and meet fundraising regulations.
