Full Job Description

  • In this role you will be responsible for multi drop deliveries to customers in the surrounding area, providing top quality customer service.

  • The role involves safely driving the companies Class 2 HGV vehicles

  • Liaising with customers and colleagues

  • Assisting yard staff in loading your vehicle in busy periods

    HIAB certification and experience would be desirable for this role however training can be provided.

  • Class 2 licence, digital tachograph card and up to date CPC training required

  • Ideally a knowledge of the building industry and building products would be an advantage


    • As a Discount Builders Merchant driver, you are the face of company to many of our customers and as such you should be:
  • Of smart appearance for which a smart uniform will be provided

  • Have a positive, friendly and helpful manner

  • Be enthusiastic, hardworking and have a positive attitude, Builder Merchants: 1 year (Preferred)

  • HGV Class 2 Driving: a minimum of 1 year (Required) ideally a clean license, but should not have more than 6 points

  • HIAB experience (Preferred)

  • Forklift Truck experience (Preferred)

  • Be prepared to offer a first-class service to customers

  • Work from Monday through to Saturday hours in line with driving regulation.
