Housing with care Assistant Care Manager

The Abbeyfield York Society is a registered Charity, providing supported and extra care housing for older people in York, together with an in house domiciliary care service. The Society is currently working towards a new 25 unit development, to include a dementia service.

This is an exciting and rare opportunity for a caring, dynamic and forward thinking Manager to join our supportive and hard-working team and also to be part of the expansion of our valuable service provision in York.

As the Housing and Care Manager, you will promote the physical, social, intellectual and emotional well-being of our residents and give them the encouragement and confidence to continue their daily activities, whilst promoting their independence.

You will be an experienced CQC Registered Manager or willing to attain registration status.

Proven staff management skills and ability to lead by example.

Committed to providing personal centred care and support.

Ability to build positive relationships in a friendly environment.

Excellent communication skills.

An understanding of required compliance with statutory regulations, governance and quality standards.
