Full Job Description

You will be working in the Tennis & Health Club, here at Wentworth Club. As the Juniors Activity Manager, you will ensure the planning, preparation, and delivery of junior activities/camps take place throuhout the year. Developing stimulating and structured play opportunities in a safe and secure environment whilst always ensuring excellent Member satisfaction. You will use your initiative, creativity, and organisational skills to deliver a stimulating, action-packed programme to our junior Members.

Key Areas of Activity

Junior Activities
1. To provide the highest standards of service to both children and parents at all times.

2. To take an active role in the care of children, whilst supporting the day-to-day operation of the c junior programmes.

3. To be a Camp Leader and deliver on holiday camps.

4. To deliver age appropriate health awareness lessons, delivering key messages around benefits of physical activity, healthy eating and wellbeing.

5. To provide a welcoming, safe, clean and stimulating environment, which encourages physical, intellectual and emotional development of each child, adhering to legislation throughout the clubs provision for young people.

6. To assist the junior co-ordinator in implementing an innovative and balanced programme of activities, which meets the need of the Membership

7. To ensure all operational systems and procedures are followed in line with company standards & deliver consistently high levels of service excellence to always ensure Member satisfaction.

8. To assist as required in operational areas of the club as dictated by the demands of the business - gym, café, reception, pools and outdoor activities.

9. Ensure all risk assessments are carried out, completed, and read by all staff prior to each activity.

10. Managing the expenditure budget in line with Club approved procedures, maintaining cost effectiveness at all times.

11. To work alongside colleagues in ensuring the compliance with all company and statutory requirements related to Fire, Health and Safety, Food Hygiene, Licensing and employment.

  • At least 2 years' experience of working with children in a play, educational and/or sports environment.

  • Foundation degree or degree in child development or related subject (preferred)

  • As a minimum Level 3 NVQ in Children and Young People's Workforce (or similar)

  • Confident and able to communicate well at all levels - staff, parents, and children.

  • Activity planning and management

  • Ability to lead and inspire a team.

  • Well organised and confident with IT.

  • Full paediatric First Aid qualified.

  • First Aid qualified.

  • Current DBS Check, Able to communicate effectively with all stakeholders across the Club.
