Laboratory Technician Apprentice

Rock Oil has an exciting opportunity within our state-of-the-art technical department. The successful candidate will work within our laboratory to gain a recognized qualification and ultimately a full-time position within our technical team.

The Laboratory Apprentice will learn how to:

· Work safely within a laboratory environment

· How to safely use and maintain a variety of laboratory equipment including XRF, CCS and Brookfield

· Housekeeping including stock maintenance

· QC testing of Rock Oil products, recording results industry specifications

· Following SOPs, producing and analyzing data

· Work with R&D department to produce lab blends of new formulations

· An interest in science

· Self-motivation and determination

· Confidence in their own ability

· Work effectively with a team, 5 x GCSEs or Equivalent: A

• -C/ Grade 6-9 including Maths and English. For candidates awaiting results predicted grades will suffice
