Full Job Description

  • You will be responsible for our two services based in Barry.

  • Leading the staff members to maintain a consistently high level of skilled support that's required for the adults at the services.

  • Be responsive to referrals and carry out assessments for our respite service, to ensure that it remains at a high level of occupancy.

  • Responsible for the wellbeing of the people we support.

  • Be part of an on-call system for the services.

    Minimum of 3 years experience in a leadership/management role.

  • You must have an NVQ level 4 or equivalent in Health & social care and be willing to work towards level 5.

  • You must have the ability to register with Social Care Wales.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills including the ability to listen attentively to others.

  • Ability to collaborate and work professionally with the people we support, families, and involved professionals/agencies to provide a service which maximises positive outcomes.

  • Experience of supervising and supporting staff and deploying staff resources efficiently to meet the needs of the services.

  • Ability to conduct risk assessments with the people we support and devise support and risk management plans.

  • Having a positive outlook, recognising and respecting differences and encouraging growth

  • Embracing continuous improvement, sharing best practice with an open mind to learning.

  • Must be a driver due to travelling between services.
