Full Job Description

As a Salesforce Systems Administrator, you will provide innovative technical solutions by administering, maintaining, configuring, and developing Salesforce, including automation and integration solutions, plus ensuring that the data is of the highest quality.,

  • Salesforce Administration - Administer, design, develop, test, implement, and maintain solutions on the Salesforce platform. Create and update user profiles and permission based on user roles and responsibilities. Continuous improvement - systems and processes. Support Data Manager with major projects.

  • Systems Integration - Actively seek out improvements whereby data from external sources can be integrated with Salesforce improving efficiencies and saving on the number of administrative tasks. Gather requirements, map, document, build and test integration.

  • Data Management - Support the team in maintaining the CRM system through data cleansing, system configuration and restructuring to ensure the integrity of data. Use Salesforce tools such as Data Loader and Data Wizard to load and maintain data including but not limited to Campaign Members, Tasks and data cleansing fixes

  • Training & Supporting Users - Support and nurture Salesforce users in using and have confidence with Salesforce. Inform, educate, and train users when the systems is enhanced, or system/process has changed.

  • Operational - To support the Data Manager in implementing system upgrades as and when applicable. Support Data and Systems Support Analyst with reports, dashboards and checking Campaign data before being sent to the requestor.

  • Team collaboration - Active participation in discussion to improve systems and operational activities. Raise a Salesforce Case for review and discussion if issue discovered with Salesforce or Salesforce integrations.

    At least three years' experience of working with Salesforce using the Sales Cloud & NPSP functions

  • Salesforce Administrator Certification with relevant Salesforce experience (specifically Sales Cloud & NPSP)


  • Essential Skills:
  • Knowledge and ability to coach and share knowledge with other Data Team members and Salesforce leads within the charity, as part of ongoing continuous professional development.

  • Able to learn new processes and systems swiftly and diligently. Adaptable to change, systems, tools, and processes

  • Advanced knowledge of Excel is essential and some knowledge of Power Query and Power Pivot would be an advantage.

  • Proven experience and understanding of Software Development Life Cycle

  • Proven experience of working with large volumes of data. Using tools such as Data Loader or Data Import Wizard

  • Integration experience. Knowledge of integration tools such as MAKE and Zapier

  • Proficiency in Salesforce Configuration, including flows, custom objects, pages, fields, process builder, workflows, validation rules and security settings.

  • Working knowledge of Salesforce reports and dashboards

  • Logical and analytic thinker with sound numeracy skills

  • Excellent attention to detail and proven research skills

  • Strong verbal and written communication and problem-solving abilities. Able to collaborate with and manage a variety of stakeholder requirements and resolve requests in a timely and accurate manner.

  • Able to organise your time and own workload effectively and able to work to deadlines in a busy environment.

  • Self-motivated with the capacity to work as part of a team, cross team and independently

  • Ability and willingness to support/mentor/coach team members


  • Desirable Skills:
  • Understanding of non-profit business processes, fundraising, donor management and program management.

  • Knowledge of a Digital CRM such as Engaging Network.

  • Knowledge of Form Assembly or any other website forms tool.
