Full Job Description

We have a rewarding opportunity for an accomplished Care Team Leader to join our fabulous team at Streets Meadow, a residential home for up to 60 older people in Wimborne.

This is a key position and requires a confident, experienced and accomplished Care Team Leader. Your ability to lead and inspire a team will be crucial to your success in the role as well as your sound knowledge and experience of care planning and provision.

This is a full time position of 37 hours a week involving a rolling rota that includes an element of weekend working. An enhanced rate of pay available for weekend working.,

  • Assist the Manager and other senior staff as appropriate, in the provision and development of care services for the relevant service user group.

  • Assist in the supervision of staff, buildings and budgets, in accordance with directorate policies and procedures.

  • Undertake effective and efficient assessment of people we support including risk assessment, the development of care/support plans and ensuring that these are implemented and monitored.

  • Approval of care plans.

  • Undertake formal supervision, including Performance Development reviews, of staff/team members.

  • Development of individual and group programmes to meet specific objectives as appropriate.

  • Ensure the safe dispensing of medication.

    Appropriate qualification - NVQ level 3 or above.

  • Significant knowledge and application of relevant legislation e.g., Care Standards Act 2000, Community Care Act 1991.

  • Significant knowledge of risk assessment process.

  • Significant knowledge of care planning process obtained in a similar or related setting.

  • Ability to lead and manage team members.

  • Ability to plan, organise and monitor own work.

  • Current meds training and experience.

  • As you will be working with vulnerable adults and/or have access to significant information about them if you are successful, you will be required to undergo a DBS check. This role is UK based and we will need to establish your Right to Work as part of the appointment process.
