Support Worker

Provide support and assistance to individuals with physical or intellectual disabilities
- Assist with daily living activities such as personal hygiene, meal preparation, and medication management
- Help individuals participate in community activities and social events
- Foster a safe and supportive environment for individuals under your care
- Document and report any changes in behaviour or health status to the appropriate supervisor
- Collaborate with a team of healthcare professionals to ensure the well-being of individuals

Previous experience working with individuals with disabilities is preferred but not required
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to remain calm and composed in challenging situations
- Empathy and compassion towards individuals with disabilities,

• GCSE or equivalent (preferred)


Experience:

• Home care: 1 year (preferred)


Language:

• English (required)


Licence/Certification:

We have vacancies for waking night staff, day staff, 24 hour staff, throughout Hexham area, and south east Northumberland and North Northumberland in Alnwick area as well as North Tyneside. These areas at present are North Shield's, Ashington, Hexham, Bedlington, Blyth, Lynemouth.

Wages range from £12.10 to £12.40 based on experience and package.

Expected hours: No less than 24 per week
