Full Job Description

Coxlease School are looking to recruit an outstanding Teacher to join our Teaching team! We are looking for an ambitious, energetic and committed teacher who will expand the learning experiences of our pupils. The successful candidate will be teaching and supporting our young people who may have autism, emotional behavioural difficulties, ADHD and associated complex needs.

  • To have experience working with pupils with SEN, in particular those with behaviours that challenge.

  • To have had experience of leading and delivering to small groups, evidencing excellent progress.

  • Experience or desire to work with all relevant Key Stages.

  • Coxlease School is an independent specialist day school, located near Lyndhurst, Hampshire, a beautiful setting in the heart of the New Forest.

    We are proud of our excellent reputation for providing highly effective education, care, therapy, welfare and support for up to 107 pupils aged 5-19 years old who have difficulties regulating their emotional, social and mental health needs. They may also have other complex needs often associated with autistic spectrum conditions. We take an individual and inclusive approach to education, care, therapy and healthcare in order to provide our young people with the opportunity to make positive changes in their lives, develop as lifelong learners and integrate into the wider community.

    We are seeking to recruit an outstanding teacher to join the team. This will involve delivering a range of curriculum areas including, English, Maths, Personal, Social Development and Humanities.

    This role will involve taking the lead role in overseeing a group from key stage 2/3 with 6-8 pupils. You will be actively encouraged to create a personalised environment and implement curriculum ideas that a re as beneficial socially as they are academically.

    We actively encourage pupil centred personal development, so we need a candidate who wants to implement projects, trips and enrichments that gives our pupils as many different exciting experiences as possible.
