Temporary Gardener

We are offering this temporary position to cover staff leave over the summer. You will join a small and efficient team at an award winning wedding and events venue: a beautiful large listed country house and its small estate.

You will be assisting the gardener with general gardening and groundskeeping duties, including, but not limited to:

- Weeding

- Edging

- Grass cutting

- Sweeping

- Raking

- Strimming

- Digging

- Watering

- Rubbish collection/general tidying

Nothing more than basic skills are required as sufficient training and guidance will be given where required.

There is the opportunity for an additional 16 hours a week if a candidate has maintenance and/or general building skills, such as:

- Perform general maintenance and repair tasks in residential and commercial properties

- Conduct inspections to identify issues and determine necessary repairs

- Repair or replace broken or damaged fixtures, appliances, and equipment

- Install and assemble furniture, fixtures, and other items as needed

- Paint walls, ceilings, and other surfaces

- Handle basic plumbing and electrical repairs

- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of work areas
