Warehouse Team Leader

We are now looking for an experienced Team Leader to join our South Luffenham warehouse team in Rutland, playing a pivotal role in supporting the day to day operations, driving productivity.

This would be covering our backshift, 14:00 to 22:00, Monday to Friday.

The Warehouse Team Leader is responsible for:

• Ensuring that tasks are allocated and completed accurately and efficiently, including unloading, booking-in, locating pallets, picking, packing, labelling, loading, reworks and returns processing.


• Setting and achieving productivity targets for the warehouse team under their remit.


• Maintain hygiene, security and housekeeping standards for the warehouse.


• Manage team productivity and breaks.


• Ensure new starters are "buddyed up" and quickly integrated into the team, including assisting with the training and induction of new employees and agency staff.


• Oversee the health and safety of everyone within your team, including any behaviours that impact others, ensuring safe systems of work, toolbox talks, risk assessments, training requirements and health and safety policies are all followed.


• Completing operational tasks ('hands-on') in a safe manner in line with training provided.


• Clear and timely daily communication of safety briefs, tasks and workloads, operational requirements, company information and customer requests to all relevant stakeholders.


• Being the first point of contact with any concerns raised by the team, as well as being the initial person of responsibility to conduct investigation before escalating to line management of any concerns around health and safety, operational issues, staff performance, security and stock integrity.
