Accounts Payable Clerk

Based in Harrogate (Hornbeam Park) you will join a team of 4 in the Finance team. As a key member of the team you will be responsible for:

• processing all invoices received for payment and for undertaking the payment of all creditors in an accurate, efficient and timely manner



• reconciling supplier and nominal accounts as part of the month end process



• processing payments, running ad-hoc and scheduled supplier payment cycles



• managing the central accounts payable mailboxes to ensure all invoices are processed



• building working relationships with cross-functional teams, such as Procurement, Facilities & IT



• optimizing supplier relationships and improve overall accounts payable performance



• Assist line manager with any additional ad hoc tasks
  
  We are looking for someone who has Accounts Payable experience and ideally understands best practice with a systems-based purchase order environment.


You will need to be proficient in using accounting software Xero and Sage 200 and have intermediate MS Excel skills.

This is an opportunity for an individual who is flexible in thought and deed as the requirements of the role can change, and what you do daily can also change. You must be able to well under pressure, meet deadlines and be adaptable to changing priorities in a fast-paced environment. You must be able to communicate clearly and effectively across all mediums, with both internal and external stakeholders. You will be a team player but also proactive in managing your own workload.

Ideally, we would like someone who's able to work 5 days a week, 40 hours per week in an office-based role. We may, however, be able to be flexible to fit win with personal requirements.

Salary is £23k - £25k per annum, with 25 + 8 days holiday per annum, with a People's Pension
