Full Job Description

This is an opportunity for a skilled Workshop Fitter for employment at RAF Brize Norton within the Airbus Military UK Part 145 team.

Our contract with the MOD states we will provide a continuous service to cover on a 24 hours, 7 days a week and 365 days a year to the Royal Air Force, to maintain and ensure airworthiness of their fleet of aircraft at home and overseas.

Our services include both direct and indirect functions which all work together to provide the airworthiness total service - including maintenance planners; licensed line maintenance engineers; technical services including structures and systems specialists; facilities management; security; and health and safety etc.

How you will contribute

Workshop activities of component management within the following areas:

  • Engine Bay

  • Role Equipment Bay

  • Propeller Bay

  • Wheel and Tyre Bay


  • Ad-hoc Aircraft Maintenance support:
  • Occasional support for the Aircraft Maintenance Teams within the Hangar or Line Operation.

    You will have served a recognised engineering apprenticeship and have experience working within the aviation industry within a similar working environment.


  • You will be flexible to be work within a Workshop or Hangar environment.

    Desirable extras

  • Exposure to the A400M aircraft, particularly its Power Plant and/or Role Equipment

  • Experience of working closely with the UK MoD Customer on-site

  • Knowledge of MAA Pt 145 regulations

  • Qualifications in HF, EWIS Level 1&2 would be beneficial however training courses upon joining will be provided., This job requires an awareness of any potential compliance risks and a commitment to act with integrity, as the foundation for the Company's success, reputation and sustainable growth.
