Full Job Description

The Building Project Manager (BPM) will be a key member of TDP Senior Management Team and will be responsible for the timely and budgeted relocation of the Oxford Clinic and TDP Support Office to their new premises. The BPM will steer and manage the overall relocation project, providing leadership, management and project management skills to develop the new clinic and Support Office environments.

The overall mission is to deliver a new clinic and support office to time and on budget.

About the role

  • This is a fixed term 6-8 month full-time role, however flexibility in this will be considered

  • The base location for this role is Oxford, Ideally, you'll live within one hour travel of this area

  • Based from the TDP Support Office in Oxford


  • What you'll do
  • Have responsibility and ownership for delivery of relocating our Oxford Clinic & Head Office Refit Project to correct specification, On Time and within Budget following correct process.

  • Identify and manage risks and issues associated with the project providing solutions to keep the project on time

  • Demonstrate good interpersonal skills and develop excellent working relationships across the Team, Business and our external partners and stakeholders

  • Carry out measured surveys of property and prepare plans and reports to appropriate Standards to inform the Design Team of project progress and requirements

  • Manage the planning of project activities and assign responsibilities

  • Work with the Design Team to ensure that adequate and timely information is provided

  • With assistance from the Chief Financial Officer, formulate and agree accurate detailed costs for each part of the project and final costs within agreed timescales to ensure projects are delivered to budget and to time.

  • Ensure projects and contractors comply with required Regulations and Standards

  • Supervise all works On-Site and achieve handover to our retail team to agreed specification and on time

  • Prepare and issue regular project reports to the team on any issues that are likely to delay the completion or materially affect the cost or the quality of the project

  • Communicate in the correct manner across the Project Team and Wider Business

    You will fit right into this role if you can demonstrate:

  • Able to use/read AutoCAD

  • Proficiency in IT (Word, Excel, Outlook)

  • Strong attention to detail

  • Excellent planning and organising skills

  • Ability to work under pressure and multi-task

  • Previous experience within a Shopfitting or Construction Role would be essential

  • An ability to develop and maintain internal and external relationships

  • Project Management Experience ideally gained within a similar role in a fast-paced retail environment would be highly desirable
