Full Job Description

We are seeking an experienced and talented Chef to join our team. As a Chef, you will be responsible for overseeing the food production and preparation in our Care Home. Your leadership and team management skills will be essential in ensuring the highest quality of food and exceptional dining experience for our residents. You will be preparing meals for 30 residents. Shifts will be 7 hours 5 days a week.,

  • Menu planning and budgeting

  • Assist with the cleaning and organisation of kitchen and equipment;

  • Prepare all food items as directed in a sanitary and timely manner;

  • Adhere to all food hygiene & safety standards;

  • Follow recipes and presentation specifications;

  • Operate standard kitchen equipment safely and efficiently;

  • Restock items as needed throughout the shift;

  • Maintain a clean working station whilst adhering to health & safety standards;

  • Recording food temperatures.


  • Duties:

    - Create innovative and delicious menu items

    - Supervise and train kitchen staff, including cooks and assistants

    - Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and maintain a clean and organized kitchen

    - Monitor inventory levels and order supplies as needed

    - Maintain a positive working environment and motivate the kitchen team to deliver excellent results

    Proven experience as a Chef or similar role in a fast-paced environment

    - Ability to cook to budgets

    - In-depth knowledge of food production, preparation techniques, and culinary trends

    - Excellent understanding of food safety regulations

    - Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines

    - Exceptional organizational and time management skills

    - Degree or certification in culinary arts or related field is preferred
