Full Job Description

The Configuration and Data Manager will manage the configuration and the associated data for TAS in the UK projects and products.

Principal Relationships:

Internal Relationships

  • Reporting to the Head of Products Configuration Managers Department and to the TAS in the UK Configuration and Data Manager;

  • Working closely with the Project Managers, Engineers and Product Assurance Managers, Procurement and Supplier Operations

  • Supporting the Manufacturing activities and AIT teams;

  • Internal Auditors;

  • Interfacing with TAS in the UK Management and TAS JV employees;


  • External Relationships

    Liaising with:
  • Commercial and Institutional Customer Project Teams and CaDM;

  • Suppliers Project Teams and CaDM;

  • Third party auditors., Responsible for the registration and release of configuration information

  • Responsible for the integrity, validity and maintenance of configuration records, history and traceability across the lifecycle

  • Responsible for the verification of internal and external technical data

  • Ensures the availability of up-to-date recorded technical data

  • Records configuration baselines

  • Supports related teams in terms of PLM tools

  • Lead the CCB and follow-up

  • Contributes to process and tools improvement, coaching of peers and new tool end-users.

  • Preparation of Review Data Packages and End Item Data Pack (EIDP)


  • Quality Management System
  • Contribute to Business Improvement Plans and Actions, in particular the ones related to Customer's satisfaction improvement

  • Quality Management System implementation

  • Company Quality dashboard

  • Support Company Certifications

  • Contribute to lesson learnt capturing and implementation.


  • The job holder will be required to perform ad-hoc additional duties that will arise from time to time that are consistent with the nature of this position.

    The candidate has ideally more than 3 years of experience and a demonstrable positive performance record in Configuration Management in a complex organisation.

    Experience in any of the areas on follows is desirable:
  • Configuration and Data Management

  • Space Engineering Firms

  • Use of PLM tools


  • Ideally educated to degree level or equivalent, with an appreciation for collaborative work and an enjoyment of stimulating exchanges, outstanding problem-solving skills and a passion to solve difficult issues.

    While specific knowledge of the French or Italian Language is not a pre-requisite for this position it would be advantageous to facilitate activities across the TAS Joint Venture organisation.
