Full Job Description
- Overseeing the sales in the yard
- Overseeing the quality of materials produced
- Supervising the depot team including mobile plant operators, weighbridge, labourer and stores
- Dealing with any complaints that arise
- Ensuring safety including that staff and visitors are wearing the correct PPE and in designated areas
- Overseeing the crushing/ screening operation to ensure efficiency
- Ensuring stockpiles are sufficient and safe
- Ensure operatives are completing PUWER checks
- Depot site audits and keep daily site diary records
- Arrange and supervise yard maintenance works
- Record and manage waste materials in the yard
- Checking waste carrier licences and waste quality
- Ensuring yard, drains and bays clean and well maintained
- Raise near misses and incidents
- Perform stock take and order materials
- Managing dust in the yard by operating sprinklers and sweepers
- Generally ensuring SHE controls in the yard
- Develop depot improvement systems
- Other ad-hoc projects as directed by the Management Team.
Experience in supervising a busy depot - Excellent customer service skills
- Experience in managing people
- Competent plant operator desirable (shovel, 360, forklift etc)
- Proof that you have the right to work in the UK (i.e Passport or Birth Certificate)
- Valid CPCS & NPORS Card
- Full, clean UK driving licence.
