Full Job Description

  • Repair, maintain, and install plant equipment.

  • Perform planned preventative maintenance (PPM) on our large stamping press and robotic welding machinery.

  • Manage machinery breakdowns and repairs, prioritising and working efficiently to reduce production downtime.

  • Diagnose equipment faults, consulting with other members of the maintenance team for assistance if required.

  • Collaborate with management to arrange scheduled downtime for production equipment.

    Level 3 BTEC Extended Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.


  • Training will be completed at Gloucestershire Engineering Training (GET) in Gloucester.
  • Year 1: Full-time at GET

  • Years 2 to 4: Full-time at G-TEM with day release to GET, Successfully completing your first two years opens the potential possibility to progress onto a HNC/HND-level qualification, further increasing your knowledge and career opportunities., Communication skills, Attention to detail, Problem solving skills, Number skills, Logical, Team working, Initiative, Patience, GCSE or equivalent English (Grade 5/B) Essential
