Full Job Description

Working as part of the EM Motorsport production team that produces tests and despatches the EM Motorsport safety and marshalling systems devices. You will be working closely to the technical team to produce and test the products requested by the end user.

Tasks and duties

The following are the main tasks and duties required of the role; the Electronic Lab Technician may also be called upon to undertake other tasks and duties from time to time:

· Working closely with the other members of the Technical Team

· Working on a low volume production line.

· Small mechanical jobs such as drilling holes or cutting out shapes on aluminium or steel sheeting.

· Wiring devices by either following writing diagrams or a demonstration from another member of the team

· Assembling connectors with crimping pins or soldering pins

· Use of a heat gun to form cables and looms

· Maintaining lab equipment and ordering consumables

· Testing the final product

· Following quality control processes.

· Despatching the final product.

· Stock Control

· Placing orders with suppliers

Responsibilities

The Electronic Lab Technician is expected to perform all the tasks and duties given with care and diligence, however they will be responsible for ensuring the following is performed or completed correctly (i.e. without supervision or checking):

· Making sure that overall specification of the final products are met.

· Ensuring that all products are despatched in a good working order.

· Ensuring that all products are quality control tested.

· Ensuring the workshop is maintained to a high standard at all times.

· Maintaining a tidy working area at all times

· Represent EM Motorsport in a professional manner at all times

· Good knowledge of electronics obtained by either education or at least 2 years' working experience in electronic production/testing

· Knowledge of using multimeter's (preferably Oscilloscope)

· IT literate (Windows, Word, Excel and Outlook)

· The ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines request by the end user.

· Organised, tidy and conscientious at all times.
