Engagement Lead - Community Centres

Terms and Conditions: Full Time, 37 hours per week , 12 Months fixed term, Our Community Centres in the Borough are part of the fabric of our localities. The centres give our residents a place to come together, to get involved and to give back as a volunteer. With social groups, learning and more organised functions taking place, our centres thrive when they are open.

We are looking for a confident, self starter who can work independently in supporting our Community Centres in fulfilling their potential.

The six community centres are led by volunteers and as landlords, we require the centres to be meeting agreed standards when it comes to safety audits, financial controls, building health and operating a centre with a functioning board and management team. Your role is to make sure this is happening and to support each of the six centres. At the same time you will support the centres to recruit and maintain a team of volunteers.

At times you will need to think creatively, be pragmatic and understand the challenges and importantly the opportunities there are with our centres.
