Engineer

We have a fantastic opportunity for a Multi Skilled Engineer to join our team in Leeds where VPK is committed to igniting your success by providing complete funding for your Master of Electrical Technology (MOET) qualification. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with electrical experience working in a manufacturing environment and looking to develop their skills/knowledge. You will be part of an engineering team delivering PMI's on the machines whilst delivering a world class engineering support service across the site. This includes machinery breakdown repairs and other engineering activities that are required. Duties: - Ensure PMI activities are carried out effectively and efficiently - Carry out requests from team where reasonably practical - Liaise with PMI lead engineer to ensure PMI tasks are completed - Attend breakdowns as directed by Engineering Manager and Operational Team Leaders - Liaise with machine operatives to ensure day to day running is effective and
efficient - Planned Maintenance, Inspection and Continuous Improvement of Electrical systems - Attending Breakdowns in timely manner - Ongoing project work - Support and maintenance of all equipment - Communicating all issues and results with the engineering team - Assisting the mechanical engineers where needed - Identifying spare parts - Communicating with machine manufacturers - Ensuring smooth running of your shift - Maintaining a clean & tidy working environment - Ensure all parts used or required are reported to the PMI lead Engineer or - Engineering purchasing team

Experienced electrically biased maintenance engineer within a manufacturing environment - Must have a good electrical background with the willingness to learn and develop - Essential for candidates to be able to read a circuit drawing and 3 phase electrics - Team player, willing to drive other staff in delivering the customer's requirements - Highly motivated and flexible to deal with constantly changing demands with a fast-paced production environment - Excellent verbal and written communication skills
