Full Job Description

As our first line IT support, you'll be the go to person for instalations, maintenance and IT support. You will work in a collborative team environment to provide support to end to end IT users.

What you'll do:

  • Provide support to end users/IT teams

  • Support a varied server, desktop & infrastructure estate

  • Administration of users across multiple platforms

  • Action & resolve tickets within a timely manner based on SLA & priority

  • Provide technical support to projects as and when required

  • Managing multiple serversWorking in a collaborative team environment by engaging, sharing knowledge & communicating effectivelyCreating reports to ensure accurate and in-depth information is provided

  • Backups and step by step contingency/disaster recovery implementation.

  • IT equipment purchasing as and when required also hardware installation including upgrades and repairs.

  • Liaising with third party suppliers, software testing, installation, administration and issuing. Supporting all mobile devices.

  • Ensure systems are patched/updated according to the groups policies

  • Install & configuration of the infrastructure systems across the siteProject based site survey and documentation

  • Physical build of racks, cabinets & ensuring that they are properly installed, configured & documented e.g. servers, PC's, un-interrupted power supplies, switches, routers, KVM etc

    Proven experience in a similar IT support role

  • Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate technical information to non-technical users

  • Proficiency in troubleshooting hardware, software, and network issues

  • Knowledge of Mac OS, Windows operating systems, and Linux

  • Familiarity with help desk software such as Remedy or SCCM

  • Understanding of VPN setup and configuration

  • Basic knowledge of LAN/WAN networks, A-Level or equivalent (preferred), Technical support: 1 year (preferred)

  • Customer service: 1 year (preferred)

  • Hours of work 8:30am-5pm
