Salary: N6 £25,984 - £28,324 actual salary

Hours: 37 hours per week, Term Time Only

Contract: Fixed Term for 1 year or the return of the postholder

Start date: September 2024

Location: Gosforth Junior High Academy

You will be employed by the Gosforth Group and may need to work across all locations within the Multi Academy Trust as required.

About the role

We are seeking a HLTA (maternity cover) to join our support staff team at Gosforth Junior High Academy. You will work closely with our other HLTA and SENCo to provide support to students in our school. First and foremost, we are looking for someone who is passionate about working with young people and is a creative, 'hands on' colleague. The role will include mentoring and supporting individual students, assisting teachers in facilitating teaching and learning activities, meeting with parents and assisting students in line with the school's policies and procedures. You should have experience of working in a learning environment and an appropriate level of Teaching Assistant qualification or experience for this role.

Inspected in November 2023, the school was awarded a 'Good' rating by Ofsted citing that we have high ambitions and expectations of our students and that they are exceptionally well behaved. We strongly recommend you read our report, which can be found here.
