Full Job Description

A vacancy has arisen for an Assistant Hall Manager to oversee the building operations in Rees Hall and Burrell House. The role is pivotal in ensuring the halls provide a safe, clean and secure environment for almost 400 students in term time, and a clean and welcoming environment for summer guests.
We are seeking an individual with a passion for customer service and attention to detail. The role is for 37 hours per week based on business needs. Hours of work are flexible and will include occasional weekends and evenings for which notice and TOIL is provided.
During term time, the role will manage a team of cleaning staff and a team of reception and facilities staff to ensure the halls meets its service standards. In addition, there is close liaison with Security to ensure the buildings are safe overnight and Estates to ensure that maintenance jobs are reported and fixed swiftly.
The role will play a key part in student welfare, by noting students concerns and behaviours and forwarding the details to the Res Life and Wellbeing teams.
During the summer, the position will co-ordinate services for summer guests, to ensure rooms are cleaned and serviced according to contractual schedules.
A Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check is required for this post.
