Full Job Description

As an Inventory Admin Operator, you will carry out a range of varied tasks supporting the Team Leader and Senior operator and ensuring Inventory integrity, quality standards, and internal controls are met. Additionally, you will:

  • Comply with the Health & Safety at Work Act and promote good EHS and GMP practices within the department to ensure a safe working environment for all employees and visitors to the area. Particularly, ensure safe use of specialist equipment such as Order Pickers, forklift trucks, pallet movers, racking, and other electrical equipment. Comply with all PPE policies and requirements for the area.

  • Where requested, carry out daily checks against established EHS and GMP checklists covering equipment (e.g. Order Pickers, FLTs,) and the general working environment

  • Carry out tasks and operate any required machines and processes as requested by your Team Leader to meet production targets, customer, and efficiency and quality requirements in line with Standard Operating procedures.

  • Provide support to the Senior Inventory Controller/Team Leader on work levels and Inventory issues on a regular basis.

  • Receive any new training and assist in the training of other operators as required. Training must be in accordance with the necessary SOP's and associated documentation.

  • Use of systems appropriate to your department i.e. Global Packaging System, Baan, JDA, OSR etc

  • Ensure expiry stock rotation is kept

  • Receive and put away returned stock.

  • Perform cycle counts using Knapp ~ OSR/Baan/ JDA, physically count stock and enter data on the RF Guns and on to Paper Count Check lists.

  • Check/remove stock from locations ref: expiry dates, frozen lot numbers and damaged product

  • When requested, the disposal of expired and damaged stock using compactor

  • Be aware of and contribute to continuous improvement projects as appropriate.

  • Be prepared to work in other areas of operations for specified periods of time as required.

  • Receive and put away over labels and other materials from Stores Dept.

  • Ensure all documentation for Internal Control requirements are actioned and sign offs are complete in accordance to the control matrix.

  • Liaise with other departments on Inventory issues.

  • Rework of finished goods.

  • Transferring of stock using the RF functions of load and expiry transfer.

  • Investigate and return to stock any over picks from Distribution.

  • Investigate any Inventory discrepancies.

  • Run weekly and monthly reports on specific reason codes.

  • Support the special handling process Cleaning and maintaining the warehouse, keep areas of work clean and tidy to ensure operational efficiency.



  • We are looking for an enthusiastic and flexible team player who can use their own initiative.


  • In addition, you'll have:

    Good working knowledge of the warehouse
  • Computer Skills and office package knowledge

  • Basic understanding of the equipment relevant to the specified area including in house applications, e.g. Baan, JDA, Able to drive vehicles in the warehouse
