Full Job Description

The Vale Academy are looking to appoint a Learning Manager to join our academy in September 2024 on a full time, permanent basis.
Do you want to work for a Trust that is transforming educational outcomes for students in some of the most deprived areas in the North of England? If so, this could be the role for you.
Your new role
As a Learning Manager, you will support student learning through the use of data, strategic intervention and monitoring in order to maximise student attainment.
If you feel you have the necessary skills and experience required for this position, then we would very much like to hear from you.
Your new school
The Vale is a successful and high achieving 11 to 18 academy which has an excellent reputation and an established trend of high student outcomes, which are consistently above those achieved nationally. Indeed, 2023 outcomes placed the academy second in the local authority for overall progress which was "above" national average at +0.32 and its attainment at 4+ and 5+ in both English and Maths was 74% and 50% respectively. Provisional results for 2024 see this trend continuing with students' performance in English and Maths being significantly above national averages.
The academy is situated in Brigg, North Lincolnshire and serves a largely rural community. Brigg itself is a historic market town on the edge of the Lincolnshire Wolds. Many of our students travel a considerable distance to school.
In January 2017, the academy moved into a new building which provides state of the art facilities and an outstanding learning environment for both students and staff. The Vale also offers an extensive and varied programme of extra curricular activities to support a rich and rounded education, both within and beyond the classroom, and has a particular specialism in music.

Why join us?
Staff across the trust are talented and enthusiastic, and all contribute to the trust's success story.
This is a fantastic opportunity to join an outstanding team within a high performing multi academy trust with exciting career prospects for successful applicants.
