Full Job Description

SIPS Music and Arts service are looking to appoint a cello teacher to cover a maternity leave. This position would start from September 1^st 2024 and would include individual, small group and ensemble teaching. This candidate would promote and support delivery to learners in a variety of schools and communities.

All SIPS teachers are expected to be Inclusive, Musical, Professional, Proactive and Reflective, enabling the widest access to music-making for young people.

Music teachers will create and deliver engaging lessons to diverse groups of students at all levels in small groups, whole class and ensemble settings. Promote enthusiasm for learning and for their instrument. Collect and report on correct and detailed records of student performance and assessment. Maintain good behavioural management in all settings of delivery.

This post is covered by Part 7 of the Immigration Act (2016) and therefore the ability to speak fluent and spoken English is an essential requirement for this role.

Grade: Unqualified to Qualified Teacher Pay - £18,537 - £37,343 p.a.
