Packer

JOB PURPOSE: To pick, pack and despatch customer orders in line with quality standards., · Pick products in the warehouse.

· Quality checking items.

· Packing items ready to go out to dispatch.

· Despatching items.

· Check incoming goods to be stored within warehouse.

· Working in a team or alone whilst being safe, tidy and organised.

· Communicate via email or other methods to liaise with our client.

· Assist with the management of stock and supplies.

· Participate in company stock takes as and when required.

· Assist in the successful onboarding of new products and clients.

TEAM RESPONSIBILITIES:

Ø Assist in development and promote the culture of continuous improvement, thereby recommending and implementing authorised changes.

Ø Comply with Health & Safety regulations at all times.

Ø Maintain good housekeeping of the department including the equipment within it.

Ø Ensure high standards of conduct, appearance and behaviour are met at all times.

Ø Communicate effectively with all team members, colleagues and management team.

In addition to the above duties and responsibilities, the job holder is required to perform any other duty requested by Management from time to time.

· Able to lift weights of up to 20-25kg.

· Proficient with Excel Spreadsheets.

· IT literate with aptitude to learn in-house systems.

· Strong communication skills.

· Customer liaison.

IDEAL CANDIDATE:

· Hold a fork lift licence or be prepared to gain the qualification.,

• Picking & packing: 1 year (preferred)


Licence/Certification:

• Forklift Licence (preferred)
  
  SALARY BAND & PACKAGE: £22,308 per annum.


DAYS/HOURS: Monday to Friday 8.30am - 4.30pm (37.5 hours).

HOLIDAY: 22 Days + Bank Holidays. From 3 years' service to 5 years' service you will gain an additional day holiday capped at 25 days.
