Here at British Garden Centres, we are looking for an experienced and enthusiastic Payroll Assistant to join our payroll team.

The role is to assist with the daily operations of the payroll department covering circa 3,000 team members.
Working within the Payroll team providing payroll support liaising with Centre Managers, ensuring weekly schedules are submitted accurately and on time., Duties will include:

  • Monitor the submission of weekly schedules.

  • Provide 1st line support for payroll queries.

  • Ensuring any updates in payroll records are processed accurately.

  • Conduct paychecks prior to payroll submission deadlines!

  • Pension reconciliation and submission

    Payroll experience essential, minimum 2-3 years

  • Knowledge of using Fourth or other payroll systems with large data sets

  • Excellent eye for detail

  • Experience using Excel spreadsheets.

  • Exceptionally organised, with a logical and methodical skillset
