Sounds great! What will I be doing?

You'll be acting as a central point of contact for everyone who works at tombola, and those who are about to join. You'll be primarily focussed on ER-related cases, supporting managers through the process and communicating with all parties.

What will I be doing? (But in bullet points)

  • Providing proactive advice and guidance on all people related topics.

  • Draft and implement HR policies and procedures where required, including updates to reflect changes in employment law.

  • Advise, guide and support people managers on all people matters including ER cases. Including reviewing and drafting documentation connected to ER matters for People Partners.

  • Take responsibility for the onboarding of new starters to the business including issuing contracts of employment, taking new starters through the pre-employment screening process and acting as the first point of contact for new starter queries.

  • Support the full employee lifecycle, issuing letters to confirm changes and responding to reference requests, keeping employee personnel files up to date.

  • Working with the payroll teams to ensure employee data changes are processed accurately and in time for payroll cut off.

  • Create and upkeep of data to support the People team. Run regular reports for other teams within the business and respond to ad hoc report requests.

  • Run new employee inductions.

  • Ensure all systems are up to date with right employee information

  • Maintain the shared People Help inbox, responding to queries in a timely and efficient manner where necessary.

  • Act as a point of contact for any general HR queries including benefits, policy related questions, holiday queries etc.

  • Supporting the wider People Support team with necessary tasks and projects on an ad-hoc basis.

    Sound understanding of all internal processes and procedures, ensuring we are compliant and deliver a consistent approach.

  • Experience in managing ER workload

  • Ability to work at pace and in an ever-changing environment

  • Ability to juggle multiple tasks, prioritising workload accordingly

  • Strong communication skills and ability to build relationships with people at all levels
