Full Job Description

  • Implement procurement strategies that align with the University's goals and objectives across a diverse range of procurement activities

  • Lead the procurement process from sourcing to contract management, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and policies.

  • Collaborate with stakeholders across faculties and directorates to understand their requirements and provide procurement and commercial expertise and support.

  • Identify opportunities for cost optimisation and efficiency improvements within the professional services category.

    Proven experience in Indirect Procurement, specifically within the professional services category.

  • Strong negotiation skills

  • The ability to drive cost savings while maintaining quality standards

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage with stakeholders at all levels.

  • Innovative approach to work, adept at demonstrating tangible benefits derived from continuous improvement initiatives.

  • Demonstrated ability to take initiative and drive projects forward independently.

  • Proficiency in contract management, supplier relationship management, and procurement best practices.

  • Analytical mindset with the ability to create and utilise data to drive informed decisions.

  • Minimum part qualified or qualified MCIPS.
