Full Job Description

The publishing assistant will work with the publisher of Global Water Intelligence on developing new projects, editing and writing reports, and building relationships with partner organisations. It is a highly varied role reporting directly to the managing director of the company, and makes an ideal starting point for anyone interested in pursuing a career in high-value information publishing. It combines both editorial and organisational responsibilities. The editorial responsibilities involve some journalistic work for our news publications, and some writing and editing work relating to our websites and consulting reports. The organisational responsibilities involve working with the managing director to bring new ideas for websites, print publications and live events to fruition. This involves liaising with our partners, contributors, and advisors to follow up proposals, and finding ways of making these proposals a reality with the assistance of our existing staff. 95% of our customers
are outside the UK, so foreign travel is involved.
After a couple of years in the position, the publishing assistant would be expected to take direct responsibility for one or more of the business lines under development, ensuring a fast-track career within the international publishing sector.,
