Full Job Description

An opportunity has arisen for the role of Renal Co-coordinator for Thames Valley & Milton Keynes NEPTs. This role will cover all renal activity across the Thames Valley and Milton Keynes, and you will work very closely with the Renal Manager in Patient Transport Services.

You will need to be confident dealing with people at all levels, enjoy working within existing processes but be prepared to make suggestions to improve them.

The scope of the role covers the Thames Valley and Milton Keynes and would require access to/use of a vehicle due to traveling to different NHS Renal sites when required.

The main responsibilities of this role are:

  • Ensure the effective and efficient operational management of renal activity in order to meet the contractual requirements within the Thames Valley & Milton Keynes area.

  • Ensure effective communication between SCAS and the renal units including the set-up and attendance at regular service user group meetings.

  • Provides a focal contact point for Renal Units and responsible for dealing with the day to day renal activity.

  • Proactively discusses requirements and future development needs with Renal Managers and unit managers. Where appropriate develop and implement new methods of working in conjunction with the renal manager, operational team, Senior Operations Manager and Locality Manager., Ensure the effective and efficient operational management of renal activity in order to meet the contractual requirements within the Thames Valley & Milton Keynes area.
