The Job

To provide pro-active and re-active service and maintenance of audio visual, Unified Communication equipment and associated technologies on customer`s premises throughout the UK and Europe.

Primary focus on fault diagnosis, repair, test, implementation, and operation of all aspects of audio visual, video conference and Unified Communication systems.

To service systems in the most efficient, effective and safe manner to ensure minimum down time and maximum performance for our clients.

The Senior Field Service Engineer's responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Provide support and mentoring for more junior and new members of the team

  • Fault finding and repair of AV/UC Systems at client's premises

  • Complete planned preventative maintenance of AV/UC equipment at our client's premises

  • Required to upload and download control programs, software and firmware updates

  • Provide readily available telephone support to answer technical questions and assist internal and external customers with fault finding

  • Liaise with other internal departments, clients and contractors both in-house and on client's sites

  • Ensure that all job files are accurately maintained in paper and electronic form

  • Read and interpret electronic schematics, wiring diagrams and architectural blueprints

  • Provide On/Call engineer support for clients either remotely or onsite

  • Perform client training when required

    Have demonstrable technical knowledge of Electronics, Audio Visual/Video Conferencing and Unified Communications Systems with a technical background in a relevant industry

  • Have a good knowledge of Control systems, AV Over IP, DSP Mixers and audio processing techniques

  • Experience of video wall technologies including LED display solutions

  • Operational & configuration experience of Unified Communication systems including MS Teams rooms, Zoom rooms and VoIP

  • Experience in providing exceptional customer service and support in a fast-paced AV/VC/UC environment

  • Strong customer-focus and understanding of the sensitivities of working on a client's site

  • Be organised and flexible with the ability to approach different types of tasks during the working day

  • Being able to prioritise and work under pressure is essential

  • Excellent communication skills both verbal and written and being able to communicate with all levels from company executives to contractors
