Are you an enthusiastic registered nurse who would enjoy working in a diverse, exciting & rewarding clinical area? The Hip Fracture Unit currently has an opportunity to appoint a staff nurse to join their friendly, professional and successful team.

Emmer Green ward is a 24 bedded orthopaedic unit specialising in the care of hip fractures and is one of a few specialist units in the country. The Ward admits patients straight from ED, caring for both pre and post-operative patients. The unit is measured against the national hip fracture data base audits and strives to become the best in the country.

All staff members have an active role in the health promotion of hip fracture prevention and rehabilitation. Working with our excellent highly skilled team you will develop a wide range of clinical skills helping to progress your career. There are opportunities to care for acutely ill patients in the high monitoring bays, working within a competency frame work supporting you to gain more skills and knowledge in this specialty.

You will receive induction and specialist training tailored to the area including care of the pre and post op patients. We will provide you support through your induction and developmental phase. You will be allocated with a mentor who will guide you through completion of your competencies. We have a robust appraisal process to ensure that your professional development is achieved within a set timeframe.
