Full Job Description

We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Support Workers to join our team. As a Support Worker, you will provide essential care and assistance to individuals in need. This role requires a strong commitment to client care and the ability to support individuals with various needs.

Responsibilities:

- Provide direct support and care to individuals in accordance with their personalised care plans

- Assist with activities of daily living, including personal hygiene, dressing, and meal preparation

- Administer medications as prescribed and monitor for any adverse reactions

- Implement behavior management strategies to promote a safe and supportive environment

- Provide companionship and emotional support to individuals

- Assist with mobility and transfers as needed

- Maintain accurate documentation of care provided

Previous experience in a similar role is preferred but not required

-Drivers preferred

Requirements:

- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written

- Compassionate and empathetic nature

- Ability to work effectively as part of a team

- Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail

- Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays,

  • GCSE or equivalent (preferred)


  • Experience:
  • adult care: 1 year (preferred)


  • Licence/Certification:
  • Driving Licence (preferred)

    Daisy Chain Social Activity Group is a small business in Bideford. We are professional, agile, and our goal is to provide support and care to adults with learning disabilities who live in their own homes within the community. Our aim is to empower, encourage and enable people to lead fulfilling lives as valued members of the community, by using a person centred approach. We provide comprehensive induction training and the opportunity to shadow experienced staff as well as career prospects. Alongside our supported living services, we run a Day Centre which is open to all individuals who may wish to use it. .
