Twilight Care Assistant

Belmont House is a well-established elderly residential home on the outskirts of Abergavenny. We are looking for a dedicated and conscientious Twilight Care Assistant to join our friendly team on a part-time basis, working 24 hours a week over 4 days, 4pm to 10pm. We are seeking a caring and compassionate individual who enjoys interacting with the elderly and supporting them to lead fulfilling lives. Candidates must be warm and friendly, with a strong work ethic, a positive attitude, and a genuine passion for providing our Residents with high quality care and support. The successful candidate will be self-motivated, well-organised and able to work both independently and as part of a team. Proven experience in working with the elderly, in either a paid or voluntary capacity, is desirable for this role but not essential. If a QCF Level 2 Qualification or Food Hygiene Certificate is not held it will be a requirement to complete this as part of the employment.

The Duties of the role are as follows:

Assist clients with personal care tasks, such as washing, dressing, eating and toileting.

Offer choice to the Residents and respect and support the choices made.

Assist in the safe lifting, transferring, repositioning and movement of clients.

Observe, monitor, and record clients' physical and emotional well-being, and promptly report any changes to senior staff.

Perform kitchen duties, if required, this will include cooking / serving an evening meal, organising the tea trolley and preparing and serving supper.

Washing dishes and cleaning the kitchen.
