Full Job Description

Guild Care is seeking a reliable Van Driver to join our Transport team, serving our Retail service. The Van Driver will be responsible for transporting goods and materials to various locations efficiently and safely.

  • Safely operate a delivery van to transport goods between locations

  • Load and unload cargo, ensuring proper handling and secure packaging

  • Knowledge of UK driving legislation and ability to follow the Highway Code

  • Excellent communication skills for interacting with customers and staff

  • Basic literacy and numeracy skills

  • Ability to work well as part of a team and drive with minimal supervision

  • Full UK/EU/EEA driving license, including Category D1 or PCV with no more than 3 penalty points

  • Minimum three years driving experience and aged 21+

  • Clean driving license

  • Ability to carry out heavy lifting

  • Good customer service skills


  • What experience and skills are we looking for?
  • Prior experience as a Delivery Driver, Van Driver, or in a related role preferred

  • Ability to drive commercial vehicles safely and responsibly

  • Proficient in navigating routes using GPS or maps

  • Capable of heavy lifting when loading/unloading cargo
