Are you looking to volunteer but have limited spare time? Would you like to make a difference to a charity without having to leave your home? Helping to recruit new Sea Cadet Volunteers in the Cornwall District could be the role for you!, The tasks of a Volunteer Recruitment Co-ordinator include but are not restricted to the following:

  • Place adverts for roles that the unit require on Reach and other local recruitment platforms

  • Relay any applicant information back to the relevant personnel

  • Monitor the recruitment platforms for about 20 minutes a week

  • Keep in contact with the Commanding Officer and Chair to inform them of any updates, You will be providing invaluable support to an organisation supporting young people to be the best they can be and thrive in life.

    Public relations

  • Office and Administration Management

  • Volunteer management, Must have 3 years experience in admin, recruitment or public relations in the voluntary sector.

  • You have some basic computer skills to enable you to use recruitment websites and to post adverts.

  • Experience in admin, recruitment or public relations

    The Sea Cadets is the UK's leading maritime charity and provides a head start in life for young people through nautical adventure and fun. Our volunteers work, both directly with young people and behind the scenes, to help make a positive difference to teenagers who are often struggling in today's world and their communities.


  • Cornwall District is currently looking for enthusiastic and dedicated Volunteer Recruitment Co-ordinators to join their Unit Management Teams (UMT). Cornwall District has multiple long-established Sea Cadet units that have provided life-changing opportunities for many young people.
